Rosemary Mkandawire is the Managing Director of Toyota Malawi. A qualified Accountant, she did her studies at London College of Accountancy in Britain.
She was the first woman to be recognized as an accountant in Malawi. She has previously worked for Graham Audit Company, Halls Car and Leopard Matches.
Mkandawire joined Toyota Malawi as Finance Director. In 2005, she was promoted to the position of Managing Director, making her the first Malawian and female to attain such a position at the company.
Having served as a board member for Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM), she has as well headed Phalombe and Lunzu Hospital boards.
Mkandawire is a board member for the Malawi Blood Transfusion Services (MBTS) and incumbent board chairperson for Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA).
Once served as president of Rotary Club Blantyre, she is now serving in various Catholic Church committees.
She likes promoting ladies, thus, she has pioneered the sponsorship of the Toyota Malawi National Netball Trophy.
Mother of two and grandmother of one, she is so passionate about family.
