Trade Fairs Malawian businesses have been invited to through the Confederated Chambers of Commerce are: TANZANIA Dar-es-Salaam International Trade Far The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, through the Board of External Trade (BET) is inviting the Malawi Business Community to the 32nd Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair to be held from 28th June to 8th July 2008. The theme for the fair is “Building Global Business Partnerships” The trade fair will involve a range of exhibits including agricultural products, food and beverages, textile, garments and yarns, manufactured products, information and communication technology, construction materials, automobiles, electrical goods and appliances, farm implements, chemicals and cosmetics, timber and furniture, trade in services, engineering products, machinery, computer software, gift articles and handcrafts, among others. The ZITF is an industrial, commercial and agriculture exhibition. China invites the business community in Malawi to attend the China International Auto Parts Expo 2008 to be held in the New China International Exhibition Centre, Beiijing from 12th to 15th November 2008. This is an exclusive show in the auto parts, electronics, accessories and after market sectors with over 1,200 manufacturers from China and abroad. Trend leading summit forums and seminars will be held during the event. The business community in Malawi is invited to exhibit or visit the exhibition. BELGIUM UNIZO International through Project Go North is inviting the business community in Malawi to attend a one day mini fair in Brussels. Over 500 Flemish entrepreneurs will participate. “Go North” is a new project for Small and Medium Enterprises run by UNIZO-International/Euro Info Centre with the support of the Government of Flanders, Belgium. The project aims at stimulating entrepreneurship in South-Africa, Mozambique and Malawi, the three countries on which the Flemish Policy makers are focusing their efforts with regards to international cooperation. It is not easy for entrepreneurs in these three countries to find business partners for their products in the European Union, let alone in Flanders. It is therefore important that they find support through knowledge from several fields in their search for experts and entrepreneurs from Flanders. The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry is the coordinating partner for this project. MALAWI The 20th Malawi International Trade Fair The MCCCI wishes to remind the business community that the 20th Malawi International Trade Fair will be held from 16th to 24th May 2008 at the Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre. Over 140 local companies and 5 countries have already confirmed participation. The MCCCI National Fair - Centre The MCCCI National fair - Centre will be held from 26th to 28th June, 2008 in Lilongwe. The 5th Agriculture Fair The 5th Agriculture Fair will be held from 31st July to 2nd August, 2008 in Blantyre. The MCCCI National Fair – North The Northern Region National Fair will be held from 25th to 27th September 2008, in Mzuzu
