With less than an hour to go before the end of 19 May and expectations across and outside Malawi are high to hear an outcome of the country’s general elections, the Electoral Commission has just announced what is expected at the National Tally Center at Comesa Hall in Blantyre.
Addressing patrons and members of the press, EC Chairperson Justice Anastasia Msosa disclosed that results from districts have started coming in, bringing hope to people at both the tally center and outside.
“We have started receiving results from polling stations across the country but at the moment we are verifying and compiling them, so shortly we will start giving you the results,” said Msosa.
