2009 Malawi election updates on Best of Malawi

Malawi will be holding her fourth presidential and parliamentary elections tomorrow (Tuesday) May 19, 2009 and to keep our readers updated with what will be happening from the beginning to the end of the polling, the counting and the announcement of the results, Best of Malawi will be giving you immediate updates from the polling station to the tally center.

In the presidential race there are seven candidates competing for the country’s most wanted seat. The presidential candidates include, the only female candidate Loveness Gondwe of Narc, incumbent President Bingu wa Mutharika for DPP, John Tembo of the MCP/UDF coalition, independent James Nyondo, Kamuzu Chibambo of Petra, Stanley Masauli of RP and Dindi Gowa Nyasulu of Aford.

And in the parliamentary race there is over one thousand aspirants fighting for only 193 seats in the national assembly.
