Metro shopping centre in Blantyre closed one hour earlier today for stock-take after Muluzi decided to spoil shoppers by paying for all their items. As late as 7pm, Muluzi's aides were still in the shop as they inspected the till slips.
Attempts to interview the store manager proved futile as he was not allowed to give details by what other members of the press present, including TVM and MBC, claimed were young democrats and the former president's aides. It is also alleged that the shopping spree had earlier on been conducted at another Limbe shop.
Watch this space for further details.
