28 year old Enock Steven Friday is a star performer who has donated blood 14 times since 9 June 2004 when Malawi Blood Transfusion Services started to collect blood. The highest blood donor since its inception. Infact as a repeat donor, his blood is free of infectious agents such as HIV, Hepatitis B&C viruses, syphilis and malaria. Friday leads an exemplary life in reference to blood safety. Friday who resides in Mbayani is a member of Kabula Youth Group and was at one time chairperson of the group.
He is currently working as a volunteer with MBTS at Galaxy House in Blantyre and his blood group is O Rh positive. Receiving his award to the applause of many, he said it was the most free gift he could ever give.
