She is currently Executive Director of the National Organisation of Nurses and Midwives of Malawi [NONM] which plays a role of: Lobbying government and other employers on issues of the nursing profession including conditions of service and professional development; Advocating for patient rights and improvement of health care services. From 1995 to 2000 Ngoma worked for Banja la Mtsogolo as a Chief Executive.
2006 to date Ngoma has been an Ambassador for Malawi for the Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP)representing Civil Society with a role of facilitating and coordinating achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
At present she holds the following positions: Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity Malawi since 2005; Board Member for Young Women Leaders in Malawi (2002 to Date); Board Member, Environmental development and enterprises Agency (1999 – 2004).Held the following positions: Vice chairperson – CONGOMA (1996 – 1999); Vice Chairperson – Save the Children Fund Malawi (1991 – 1995).
